Purpose: The L.D. and Velna Montgomery Scholarship fund was established in 2021 by Kerry Montgomery, EHS Graduating Class of ‘67 . It enables college bound seniors attending Elmira High School to pursue a college education at any 4-year, accredited Educational Institution.
Description:
Scholarship is for tuition, books, room and board only. Scholarship Amount: $5,000 per year, for a maximum of 4 years. Please complete the application in its entirety. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered for the scholarship award. The deadline for this application to be received is: Postmarked Tuesday, May 4th, 2021 by 3pm. No exceptions. Submit completed application to EHS Counselor, Brittany McMillan.
Eligibility:
In order to be considered for L.D. and Velna Montgomery Scholarship, a candidate must:
- Be an Elmira High School Senior
- Be planning to pursue an undergraduate degree at a 4-year accredited educational institution beginning Summer or Fall 2021
- Must have a cumulative High School GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Demonstrate financial need
- Please submit a copy of your Student Aid Report from the FAFSA OR complete the Financial Resource table on the following page.
Renewal Eligibility:
- The L.D. and Velna Montgomery Scholarship is renewable (up to 4 years) IF college GPA remains in “Good Standing” based on the Colleges’/Universities’ criteria.

The PB&J Scholarship Fund is for students who have experience personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform well academically, but who still have the drive to succeed. Examples of personal challenges include, but not limited to: medical issues, peer issues (bullying, change of school, minority status, etc), family issues (divorce, dealth, lack of income, homelessness, foster care, etc).
Awards offered range from $500-$1,000. Student must fill out the online application, submit a transcript and one letter of recommendation (two is preferred).

Three EHS students from the Class of 2020 received this $2,000 scholarship last year!! If selected, you will receive $2,000 towards your first year of college, and you will have a chance to renew the scholarship to go towards your 2nd and 3rd year in college. Eligibility
- This scholarship opportunity is open to all graduating seniors in the class of 2018 from the following high schools: Crow, ECCO, ELMIRA, Harrisburg, Junction City, Kalapuya, Monroe, North Eugene, Triangle Lake, and Willamette
- The student demonstrates a sincere desire to continue their education in an approved program at a college, university, community college, or trade/training school with in the State of Oregon.
- The student must complete the application, the required answers to the five questions, and include a certified high school transcript in their packet.
- Submit your completed packet to Ms. Brittany by March 19th, 2021.
- NOTE: Relatives of Eugene Airport Rotarians by blood or marriage are not eligible to apply. For this purpose, a relative is defined as, but not limited to, a “child, grandchild, brother or sister, and their spouses or children.”
PLEASE NOTE: There is not a GPA requirement, and this can be awarded to any student that will be attending a college, university, community college, or training/trade school within the State of Oregon.

Each year Lane Electric offers nearly $20,000 in scholarships to help our members begin their college journey or return to seek a new career. You could be rewarded with money to help attend Lane Community College, Vocational Outdoor Line Training Academy (VOLTA), or a college of your choice. Scholarship applications are due by Thursday, April 8, 2021 by 1pm.

Scholarships & Applications
- $4,500 to a 2021 high school graduate (whose parents or guardians are a qualifying Lane Electric Member) to attend Lane Community College
- $4,500 to a “Dave D’Avanzo Memorial Community Scholarship” to attend Lane Community College (This was previously our “Member-at-Large Scholarship and continues to be for any member looking to start a new career)
- $5,500 to attend VOLTA, a trade school for those interested in line construction and the electric utility industry
- TWO $3,000 scholarships to a two or four year accredited college of your choice
Each year SELCO Community Credit Union awards 20 scholarships to exceptional high school seniors continuing their education. If you’re planning to attend an accredited two- of four-year college or university, you may be eligible for a $2,500 SELCO Scholarship to help with tuition and other educational expenses. Here are the key details:
- Each year, SELCO Community Credit Union awards 20 scholarships of $2,500 to be used toward tuition and other educational expenses.
- Applicants must plan to attend a two- or four-year college and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Applicants (or a member of their immediate family) must be a SELCO member. A SELCO membership is just $5 and open to anyone who lives or works in one of the 27 Oregon counties SELCO serves.

The Friends of the Fern Ridge Library are sponsoring at least two $500 scholarships for high school seniors graduating in the class of 2021. Applicants must live in, or attend school in, the Fern Ridge Library District. Students who volunteer at the Fern Ridge Library may also apply. Applicants must have a 3.0 or higher grade point average as of the end of the fall semester of their senior year.

Due to the pandemic, Blachly-Lane’s Board of Directors has authorized two $1,600 educational/vocational scholarships in lieu of the cancelled NRECA Youth Tour in 2021. The scholarships are for graduating high school seniors. One scholarship will be awarded to a student furthering their studies at a university or college this fall. One scholarship will be awarded to a student entering vocational school, with preference given to students enrolling in VOLTA Line School. The applicant’s parent or legal guardian must be a Blachly-Lane member with an active account, and the applicant must live in the home of the member parent/guardian.
