Next week, the EHS student leadership class begins it’s annual Food and Money drive to support the local Kiwanis Holiday Food Drive. Please see the flyer below if you are are able and willing to participate. The first week is a “Money Drive” and Dec 5th-13th we will be collecting non-perishable food items. Go Falcons!
The EHS Booster Club is holding its 8th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Sunday, September 20th at Diamond Woods Golf Course. If you would like registration information you can contact Judy Smith at smithboysrock@hotmail.com. The EHS Booster Club has donated more than $50,000 to the EHS Athletic programs over the past 4 years alone. Come on out, have some fun and support this non-profit organization.
Grad night is a parent organized and managed committee that plans a post graduation safe and sober all-night “party” for the graduating Seniors. I try to support this group as much as possible along the way, but this is strictly a parent led activity that needs some great people to step up and lead the way. Last years chairperson, Heidi Murphy, did an excellent job of leading a group of several volunteers who worked hard and provided the EHS Seniors of 2015 a fantastic experience following their graduation ceremony. We have already had a couple parents step up and say they want to assist with the 2016 GRAD NIGHT committee, but they are still looking for someone to take the lead of this group. If you think you might be willing or interested, contact me here at the school (Gary Carpenter 541-935-8200 ext. 201) or via email and I will point you in the right direction. Go Falcons!
The EHS Grad Night Committee is hosting a dinner auction this Saturday night at 6:00 PM at Silvan Ridge. Visit their facebook page for more information. The EHS music classes will be holding a Coffeehouse Night in the cafeteria this Thursday, January 22nd from 6-8 PM. Admission is free and will feature performances by every EHS music student. Refreshments will be sold as a part of a fundraiser for the music program.
Reminder: The 1st ever “Miss” Falcon Show is this Friday night in the EHS Gym, and starts at 7:00 PM sharp. Cost is $10.00 for adults and $7.00 for students. The $ raised stay right here in our community. The girls have been working hard, have raised a significant amount of money so far, and I expect a great show!
It will be in the EHS gym this Friday night, March 21st, the doors open at 5:30 and the game starts at 6:00. In addition to the game, your entrance fee includes a pulled pork sandwich dinner with chips, baked beans, slaw and a beverage. Cost is $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Finally, there will also be many great items that have been donated that will be sold via a “silent auction.” Come on out and support Miss Falcon. All of the $ raised go right back to our local community.
Cosmic Bowling is 9:30-12:00 At Firs Bowl on River Road, this Friday night January 31st. Cost is $10.00 at the door. First Student Transportation is donating a bus and driver and the bus will leave EHS at 9:15 PM. However, if not enough students sign up for the bus, it will be cancelled. That decision will be made at 8:30 tomorrow morning so sign up quickly!! Of course students are free to simply show up at Firs Bowl on their own. $10.00 gets you shoes and unlimited bowlilng until Midingiht. GO FALCONS!
It is official. The 1st ever MISS FALCON will be occurring at EHS this year. Save the date: Friday, April 4th @ 7:00 PM. We have five fantastic Senior girls who will be participating with their “boy” agents. They are:
