imagesGrad night is a parent organized and managed committee that plans a post graduation safe and sober all-night “party” for the graduating Seniors.  I try to support this group as much as possible along the way, but this is strictly a parent led activity that needs some great people to step up and lead the way.  Last years chairperson, Heidi Murphy, did an excellent job of leading a group of several volunteers who worked hard and provided the EHS Seniors of 2015 a fantastic experience following their graduation ceremony.  We have already had a couple parents step up and say they want to assist with the 2016 GRAD NIGHT committee, but they are still looking for someone to take the lead of this group.  If you think you might be willing or interested, contact me here at the school (Gary Carpenter 541-935-8200 ext. 201) or via email and I will point you in the right direction. Go Falcons!

On Monday, August 10th, Dr. Shane Gofourth will be conducting Sport Physicals here at EHS on a drop-in basis from 10-2 PM.
Any EHS athlete can attend and the cost is only $20.00. Please spread the word. If you are not sure if you have an updated physical on file (expires every 2 years), we will have that information at the Fall Sport Registration night on August 6th. Thanks to Dr. Gofourth for providing this opportunity to our student athletes.

What: Community Forum on Drug Testing of H.S. athletes at EHS
Where: EHS Theater
When: Tuesday, May 12th from 7-8 PM.

Earlier this school year a group of parents asked the EHS administration to collect some data and look into the possibility of creating and implementing a policy around drug testing at EHS. As such, on Tuesday, May 12th we will be holding a Community Forum at the above date and time. As we get closer, a more detailed agenda and outline of the hour will be released. If this is a topic that interests you, regardless of which side of the discussion you fall, please plan on attending and being a part of the dialogue. Go Falcons!

TONIGHT: POWDER PUFF FOOTBALL, 7:00 PM @ EHS. The gates open at 6:00 PM, and the game starts at 7:00. This event is a grad-nite fundraiser and costs $3 for students and $5 for adults. If you have never been to a powder puff game you should come on down as they are fun to watch. The girls have been practicing for the past month and are ready to go. The Seniors are on a 7 game winning streak vs. the Juniors, however this Junior team is the strongest one in recent history and the current Vegas Line has the Juniors favored by 9 points…….. Good Luck to both teams.

The EHS Booster Club meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM.  Recently they moved the meetings to the EHS Library.  The next meeting is this Wednesday, October 15th.  The Booster Club does a TON for the student athletes here at EHS, and they could always use more volunteers. Come to a meeting and check it out.
