It’s Homecoming Week!

This is what’s happening in Mr. Hart’s classes this week:

• AP Lit: We will continue to read and discuss short stories and hone our analytical skills. There is a vocabulary test on Friday.
• English 1: We will continue with our short story unit.  There is a vocabulary test Wednesday.
• Poetry: We will be studying tone in poetry this week

• AP Lit will be continuing our unit on the short story.  There will be a new vocabulary list sent out this week
• English 1 will continue our unit on the short story.  There will be a new vocabulary list sent out this week
• Poetry will be looking at the Sonnet form of poem and writing one good one (!)

It’s Patriot’s Day this week, in honor of those killed on 9/11/01

This week in Mr. Hart’s classes:

• AP Lit will begin our short story unit.  There will be some reading o f short stories this week.
• English 1 will begin the week with lessons (and an essay) on 9/11.  The week will end with us starting our short story unit.
• Poetry: We will also look at 9/11 through poetry, and then we will start our first unit: Form poetry (Haiku/Limerick)
