Earth Day Celebration Friday, April 11th

Our third annual Earth Day Celebration for kindergarten through third grade students will be Friday, April 11th from 12:00 to 2:00.

The Earth Day Fair will be held in the gym and will feature animals from Zany Zoo, the Smoothie Bike from Jamba Juice, Smoky The Bear, and much more. Students will be able to plant seeds, create art with recycled materials, make musical instruments from recycled materials, find out about our local forests, farms, composting, recycling, and more. Parents and family members are invited to join their children at the Earth Day Fair. Classes are scheduled to visit the fair at specific times. 12:00 to 12:40 Modee, Wyncoop, and Guill. 12:40 to 1:20 Cutsforth/Lawrence/Llewellyn/Orme 1:20 to 4:00 Messman, Pebworth, and Greene. AM Kindergarten parents are welcome to bring their children to the fair anytime from 12:00 to 2:00 if they want. The Earth Day Fair is a family event so younger siblings are invited to join in as well.

While the gym is going on for the younger kids, the fourth and fifth grade students will have Earth related presentations in their classrooms that afternoon. Fifth graders will learn about electricity and conservation while fourth grade students will learn about local endangered animals from the Army Corp of Engineers.
