2019-20 Student Registration:
Follow links above for instructions about registering online. Online registration for new 1st-5th grade students and returning students opens in mid summer.
In addition, in August there will be a short in person registration to finalize transportation plans, update immunizations, and update any changes (phone numbers, work information, etc) that occurred over the summer.
Kindergarten Registration for 2019-20 starts soon at VES. Families are encouraged to attend our Kindergarten Information Night on March 14th from 6:00 to 7:30 PM to find out more information on what to expect in kindergarten and how to help their child prepare for kindergarten.
Kindergarten Registration for the 2019-2020 school year will be available on line beginning April 1st. Families with internet access can register their child online. Computers are available at the school for those who would like to register here.
Kindergarten families without internet access can come by anytime after April 1st to register their child for kindergarten in person. Completing the paperwork for in person registration will take between 20 to 30 minutes so please plan accordingly.
In addition to the online registration, families will need to complete the registration process in person at the school. At that time, families will need to show proof of residence, provide a copy of their child’s birth certificate, and complete the official state required immunization form.
In August we will have a short registration to finalize transportation plans, update immunizations, update any changes (phone numbers, work information, etc) and sign up for an orientation day the first week of school.
We’re looking forward to meeting all of our new students! Please don’t hesitate to call us at 541-935-8225 with any questions.
In the Fern Ridge School District, Kindergarten has what we call a “soft start.” Families select one day the first week of school and kindergarten students only attend that one day during the first week. This makes it possible for us to have a small group of students of students and provide a day long kindergarten orientation for them. We have extra adults in the classroom on those days and they are walked through how to come in, where to put their backpacks, where to sit on the rug, how to line up for lunch, etc.
