Today, we went over the story in English about where Latinos in the United States come from and learned about the different characters/people who will appear in your textbook throughout Spanish 1 and 2. Then, we practiced with subject pronouns and the verb “ser” again to start making that connection in Spanish of conjugating verbs (p.36 act.11). We took notes on the verb “gustar” which you can find on p.39 in the textbook and practiced asking our peers on whether they like doing certain activities or not (based on the ones we are learning in the chapter). Then, you received a handout (one side is completed during class on Monday and the other is your homework which is due on Monday). We went over the first two activities today and will go over how to complete the third activity tomorrow. We will also be spending some time conversing tomorrow on everything we have learned so far.
