This Year’s Field Trips May Include:

• Eugene Symphony at the Hult Center
• University of Oregon Jordan Schnitzer Art Museum and Museum of Natural and Cultural History
• Fly-Up to Fern Ridge Middle School
• 5th Grade Track Meet
• Outdoor School (Memorial Day Weekend)
• Walking field trip to the Fern Ridge Library, local parks, and the Veneta Community Pool

Field trips are a special privilege for students who demonstrate positive behavior, attendance and work habits .  Students who do not earn the privilege are expected to be at school on the day of the field trip, and will remain in a different classroom while the 5th grade classes are off campus.  Parents will be contacted if their child has not earned the field trip.  

Chaperones are always needed!  You must have a background check on file with the District.  A new one has to be filled out each year.  You can find the form on the District’s webpage here:

Chaperones are encouraged to ride the bus with students, but they may drive their personal vehicle instead (parking may sometimes be limited).
