Lane County high school students (ages 14+) are invited to apply for a paid summer internship
experience in the industry of their choice. Student applications will be reviewed, interviews will be
scheduled with those who qualify, and then students will be matched with a local host company.
Industry hosts will identify 2-4 projects for the intern to work on during the experience. Students and
industry will review the projects, identify learning objectives and key skills to build before signing the
learning agreement.
What students need to know:
- Up to 6 weeks
- 20-40 hours per week
- Students paid $15 per hour by Connected Lane County
- Both in-person and virtual internships
- Transportation help if needed
Important Dates:
- Application opens April 12th
- Application closes May 17th
- Interviews scheduled during the week of May 24th
- Intern Orientation on June 24th
- Internships start July 6th-Aug 13th

What is Elevate?
Elevate is a program of Connected Lane County. Our goal is to connect all students to career
learning experiences, both inside and out of the classroom (even the virtual ones!). Through these
experiences, we aim to help students see the relevance of what they’re learning in school, explore
a number of career paths before graduation, and leave high school career-ready.
