Future Success

Future Success is a course designed specifically for students transitioning from middle school to a high school environment. The course covers a wide variety of topics that work comprehensively to develop each student holistically and support them as they navigate their first year of high school. The first semester focuses primarily on the social-emotional skills and study skills that students need to be successful in high school and beyond. Students will be given structured study time each week where they can work independently and/or in small groups.

For distance learning, we will have a schedule of topics each week that will cover the following:

Tuesdays– Personal Management

Wednesdays– Technology

Thursdays– Career Exploration and Future Goals

Fridays– Social Emotional Learning

Students will be required to attend Zoom meetings and interact with assignments through Google Classroom. Classroom invitations were sent to student emails, however, if you’re having trouble finding the invitation, the following codes can be used to join classes:

1st period: aklnr5q

3rd period: jsxtfeb

4th period: sff3tmi

Zoom meeting links for class can be found in each of the respective class periods’ Google Classrooms under the “Classwork” tab. Once you have clicked the Classwork tab, there is a topic labeled “Zoom.” Under the Zoom topic, there is a post that says “Zoom Link” and has a PDF attachment. Click on the PDF attachment to find the Zoom hyperlink and meeting codes.
