Today, I collected the vocabulary list on p.21 (worth 15 points). Then, we reviewed items we have learned already (alphabet, numbers, spelling words, etc.). You were introduced to Spanish-speaking countries today and we practiced the phrases for asking, “Where are you from?; Where is he/she from?” as well as responses (Soy de. . . Es de. . . ). The homework assignment is on p.9 activity 9 out of the book. We did the first two together and most completed it during class; however, I changed it up a little bit, so it should start off with “Me llamo_________.” or “Mi nombre es __________.” filled in with a Spanish-speaking name (refer to the list on p.4) and the second sentence should be “Soy de_________” and matching up the correct South American country for each number (refer to pages 6-7 to look at a corresponding map). We will review this on Monday. Study your vocabulary on p.21 (along with alphabet, numbers, etc.)!
