pages 5-6 workbook; study p.25 vocabulary

Today, we reviewed pages 3-4 in the workbook.  Then, we discussed that pages 5-6 in the workbook are due on Monday (obviously, skip the ones for now that say CD by it as you will complete that during class).  These two pages correspond with book pages 13 (question words) and 15 (telling time).  Use those as a reference to complete the two assigned workbook pages.  Study your vocabulary on p.25!

pages 3-4 workbook; description game

Today, we worked on creating the two descriptions of people (one at school and a famous person) for the game that we are playing on Friday.  Make sure you complete this in-class assignment!; we also discussed pages 3-4 in the workbook and we will review tomorrow (the verb “tener” and the verbs “ser” and “estar”).  Don’t forget that the optional vocabulary on p.25 is due tomorrow (you will be excused from it if I don’t receive it tomorrow).

pages 1-2 workbook; optional vocabulary on p.25

Today, you will be receiving your workbook (that is what the $20 class fee is for as this is your homework and you will be writing in it throughout the school year).  We then discussed pages 1-2 in the workbook and we will review those two pages tomorrow.  We will also finish the dialogue sections tomorrow as well if we did not get to your group today.  The optional vocabulary (p.25) is due Friday, the 13th, if you are planning to turn that in.  Keep working hard and reviewing concepts we did in Spanish 1!

Preterite/past tense handout–due Monday!

On Friday, we reviewed the present tense and you were introduced to the past tense (took notes and/or received the verb conjugation chart/handout).  After reviewing and practicing subject pronouns and conjugating some verbs together, you received an in-class assignment to practice conjugating verbs in the past tense with –ar, –er and –ir verbs.  Whatever was not completed in class turned into homework. . . we will review on Monday and submit the assignment.  We will also be getting our textbooks on Monday and the workbooks soon as well (that is why there is a $20 class fee–to write in the workbooks that we will be using throughout the year).
