Whatever they  dream of doing, 8th graders will get to explore their futures on October 12th. Connected Lane County is holding a countywide Career Exploration event on October 12, 2017 at Lane County Fairgrounds from 9 AM to 11:30 AM. This event is open to 8th and 9th graders only. Students will learn about employment with local companies in industries such as technology, manufacturing, financial, and healthcare. They will learn about how to pursue their chosen career after high school, participate in mock interviews, and more! Thursday, October 12th is a no school day for the Fern Ridge School District. However there will be a bus available to transport students to the event from Elmira High School and bring them back to the high school after the event. They must be dropped off before 8:20 AM and picked up by noon. Permission forms must be returned by October 5th.
