Beginning Monday, April 13th FRMS will offer distance learning to our students. We will be posting on line and making available for pick up packets of assignments and instruction in Math, Language Arts, and Fitness. We will also include supplemental learning activities for Science and Social Studies. Each subject area will include a guide for students/families to walk them through the assignment/activity as well as phone and email contact information for teachers. We encourage you to reach out to teachers directly if you have any questions or concerns about the assignments presented.

For this next phase, we will be doing weekly grade level packets that families can pick up on Mondays and Tuesdays. Packets will be available in front of the office from 8:00 to 3:00. Packets can also be printed from online and we will put links up in a post on this website. For now, we are asking families to hold onto the completed work. When this closure is over, we will set up a process/procedure for returning work.

As a district, we have made the decision not to include answer keys in packets or post answer keys online. Instead, we encourage families to directly contact teachers if they get stuck, can’t work out the answer, need help, etc.

Our priority during this closure is the safety, health, and well-being of our students, our families, and our community. We are pleased to be able to offer in these packets opportunities for your child to engage in learning new ideas and practicing skills.

If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to call the school or contact teacher’s directly. Our office hours during the closure are 7:45 to 3:30. We do ask that if you need to get something from the school you call us first so we can have it ready for you and practice social distancing within the building.

Packets will also include suggestions from Mr. Chambers to keep kids healthy and well emotionally and socially and emotionally during this time.

We will be posting links to the packets on the FRMS webpage on Monday so please check back.

The supplemental packets from Week #1 and Week #2 of our closure were optional and do not need to be returned to the school.
