Dear Parents,

Oregon law requires students in grades 7-12 receive a Tdap vaccination. The Tdap combines protection against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (whooping cough). Even if your student is currently in distance only learning the State of Oregon is requiring proof  of the Tdap vaccine before the February exclusion date.  In reviewing the immunization records for all students there are a number of students who do not have the required Tdap vaccination. If your student has not received the Tdap vaccination, make an appointment with your provider or the Lane County Public Health Department to get the Tdap vaccine.  Middle School is also a good time to check in with your provider about other vaccinations that are recommended.

Exclusion Day is February 19th.

Please  be sure to bring the record of the Tdap vaccination to the school to be added to the student’s record. Also check the list below with your student’s immunization records to make sure your student is up to date on all of their vaccinations.  Letters will be sent out soon to students that the school does not have complete vaccination records. It is important to get the vaccinations and bring the records to the school as soon as possible.
