Congratulations Mrs. Ross! FRSD’s Teacher off the year

Mrs. Cassadie Ross is exceptional person and an exceptional teacher.  She has been working in the district for 12 years.  She is one of the most engaging teachers that I have seen working at Fern Ridge Middle School.  I have heard numerous students walk out of her class saying, “I have read more books in one year then my whole life,”  “I never liked books before this class,” “I did not know books could be this fun.”  Almost every good thing that has happened at Fern Ridge Middle School in the last 12 years has had her finger print on it somewhere in either a formal or informal role.  Now that she is an instructional coach in the district, Fern Ridge Middle School misses her a lot, but I know the district is benefiting from her sharing her love of teaching with all the staff members of the Fern Ridge School District. When people ask me about her, I describe her as the best middle school English teacher in the state of Oregon.
