Kindergarten Registration for Fall 2014

It’s time to register students who will be five years old by September 1st for kindergarten this fall at either Elmira Elementary School or Veneta Elementary School. Kindergarten PreRegistration, also known as Kindergarten Round Up, will be Friday, May 9th at both elementary schools. Veneta will hold their event from 9:00 to 10:00 in the morning and Elmira from 12:30 to 1:30 in the afternoon. Children can come with their parents to meet kindergarten teachers and visit their classrooms.
Parents are asked to bring proof of residence, a copy of their child’s birth certificate, current immunization records, and a copy of any relevant custodial papers. Parents should plan on spending 20 to 30 minutes filling out the preregistration paperwork. Parents who cannot make it on May 9th are welcome to come any time after the 9th and before the schools close for the summer on June 25th to register their child.
Kindergarten PreRegistration is just the first step in registering students for kindergarten. Parents should plan on coming back to either Veneta or Elmira Elementary on August 13th during Kindergarten/New Student Registration to complete the process.
