Attention Readers: In October we will be kicking of our 2015-2016 OBOB school competition. Third, fourth, and fifth grade students can form teams and enter the school competition. Sign ups will be in October and the actual competition itself in  January/February. The winning team from our school will compete in the regional competitions in March.

Students interested in participating in OBOB this year can start reading the OBOB books now and start putting together their dream team of four students.

Each team is responsible for reading 16 books that they will be asked detailed questions about during the competition. There will be an organizational meeting in October where team members will divide the books and select a team name. Team members then are responsible for reading their assigned books. Ideally, the more book titles each individual student has read the better the team as a whole will be able to answer the questions during the competition.

Each team should have a parent volunteer to serve as their coach to keep them on track and make sure each team member is doing their part. This year, due to the shorter recess in the morning, we will not have OBOB meetings and practices at school so the role of the coach becomes even more important.

Click the link on the right side of this page for a complete list of the elementary OBOB books. Books can be checked out at the Fern Ridge Community Library.
