StockingsFor those who don’t know, the S.A.N.T.A. (Sharing Among Neighbors Toy Appeal) Project is a wonderful grassroots organization in Veneta that provides toys and more for children in the Fern Ridge Community during the holidays for free. Parents in need can come on Saturday, December 20th and receive toys to put under their tree, have those toys wrapped, and even pick up a tree if needed. The Santa Project makes the holidays brighter and more cheerful for many of our children. This year they need our help.

One of the items parents can pick up from the S.A.N.T.A. Project are stockings and stocking stuffers. Unfortunately, this year donations are down for stocking stuffers and we are asking Veneta parents who can to help. If parents can donate new small toys or gifts or other items that would be great to stuff stockings with, we can collect them at VES and forward them to the S.A.N.T.A. Project. The S.A.N.T.A. Project provides stockings for children all of ages so they are looking for items for toddlers to elementary children to teenagers.

The holiday season is a great time to teach your child the joy of giving to those in need and helping others. Having your child help you pick out toys and small items to fill the stockings of a child who otherwise would not have a stocking can remind them of what is truly important about the holiday season.

In addition to donated items, the S.A.N.T.A. Project also accepts donations of cash to help out. You will also see their boxes in our community asking for donations of toys, books, games, etc. Click on the link to their web page for more information on how you can help out and become involved:  S.A.N.T.A PROJECT
