PALS Meeting Tonight

All parents and guardians are invited to the Veneta PALS meeting tonight at 6:30. PALS (Parent Action League for Students) is the parent group for Veneta Elementary School. They do a lot of great things around our school for our student- from helping with special events, to raising funds for field trips and special projects, and much, much more. We have a small group of highly dedicated PALS parents and they could use your help. If you are interested in becoming more involved with your child’s school and helping out, PALS is a perfect way to do that.

This year PALS is working on two special events for our students. We are planning our first ever Valentine Celebration. It will be Friday, February 13th in the evening. Plans for the celebration include a parent/child dance, a photo booth, games, and refreshments. It will be open to all Veneta Elementary students and their families. This is our first time planning an event like this and we are open to suggestions and ideas. The more hands we have helping, the more successful our event will be.

The other change PALS is making this year is to our auction. We are tentatively planning to try something new by combining the raffle and silent auction with a school bingo night instead of an oral auction. We are still in the beginning stages of planning for this event but we are very excited about the idea of trying something new.

As you can tell PALS has a lot of new things happening this year and its a great time to get involved. Our meetings are the second Tuesday of each month. Childcare is provided and refreshments are served.
