Veneta Elementary School will hold our Kindergarten PreRegistration or Kindergarten Round Up on Friday, May 1st from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Parents are encouraged to bring their future kindergarten students with them. Children will have a chance to visit a kindergarten classroom while their parents register.
Forms will not be accepted before 9:00 AM on May 1st. However if you would like to fill out the required forms in advance, please click on each of the links at the bottom of this post. All forms must be completed for your child to be placed in a kindergarten classroom. Parents must also bring copies of birth certificates, immunization information, proof of residency, and any relevant documentation related to custodial issues. Incoming Kindergarten students must be at least 5 years old by September 1st.
Parents of incoming Kindergarten students are also invited to attend our Kindergarten Parent Information Night on May 13th from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
Important Information: Veneta is planning for two kindergarten classes with approximately 20 students in each class. Enrollment will be on a first come, first served basis.
Kindergarten students who register after the limit has been reached may be transferred to Elmira if space is available there. However each school will set aside a limited number of slots to accommodate students with siblings who register after the limit has been reached.
Kindergarten registration continues on August 19th. Due to construction, the August 19th registration will be at the Fern Ridge School District Office. Parents should also plan on attending the August 19th registration date to finalize the process.
