WE NEED PARENT, COMMUNITY MEMBER AND STUDENT FEEDBACK!
Signed into law in May of 2019, the Student Success Act is a game-changer for our schools! As part of the Student Success Act, the Student Investment Account is non-competitive grant money for Oregon school districts. The focus for these funds is on key areas for improvement — from reducing class size, increasing instructional time, addressing health and safety needs and ensuring a well-rounded education. In order to apply for these funds, our district is required to meaningfully engage stakeholders! We need ALL voices in this conversation. The Fern Ridge portion of this allocation could be in excess of 1 million dollars.

The second way to become involved would be to attend our Community Input Session. The date for this is Tuesday, October 8th. The exact time and location is yet to be determined. As soon as we finalize this information, we will get it out.

Elmira High School will hold it’s annual Open House on September 18th from 5:00-7:00 PM. Please join us for pizza and the chance to meet your students’ teachers. Please review the attached schedule for an overview of that evening.
Due to the strong chance of thunderstorms this afternoon both Boys’s and Girls’ Soccer matches against Banks have been cancelled. We will play Boys’ JV and Varsity Soccer tomorrow at Banks at 4:15 PM for Varsity and 5:45 PM for JV. Girls soccer will host Banks tomorrow at 4:30 PM.
Please join the EHS Booster Club for their annual fundraiser on Saturday, September 7th. Please refer to the attached flyer for details.
Unfortunately due to new circumstances we will need to cancel our soccer matches with Creswell today. Once we have details on makeup dates and times we will get them to you. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this causes.

All Students Return: 8:25 AM – 1:25 PM (Early Release Schedule)

Registration for the 2019-20 school year is fast approaching. Please refer to the schedule below for your registration time. In addition to registering for classes you can also pay course fees and get your school picture taken. Registration will take place in the cafeteria. Please follow this schedule for registration:
Wednesday, August 21
Seniors: 8:00 – 11:00 AM
Sophomores: 1:00 – 4:00 PM
Thursday, August 22
Juniors: 1:00 – 4:00 PM
Freshman: 5:00 – 8:00 pm
If you cannot make your designated time you can stop by the main office at any time beginning on Friday, August 23rd.
Elmira High School will be hosting our annual Athletic Registration Night on Monday, August 12th from 5:30-7:00 PM. This is a chance for you to meet your coach, pay your fees and get assistance with signing up on-line with Family ID. We are excited for the beginning of the fall sports season and hope you can join us on Monday night.
Elmira High School and Dr. Shane Gofourth are offering a sports physical clinic at EHS on Wednesday, August 7th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The cost is $20 and no appointment is necessary.
