VES Registration for 2015-2016 Now Open

Thank you to all of the families who came to our new student/kindergarten registration on August 19th. It was great to see so many new faces ready for the start of a great school year. It was especially great that so many families were able to find us in our temporary offices here at the high school.

If you did not get the chance to come on the 19th, here is what you need to know:

Kindergarten Students: Please plan on stopping by to register your student for kindergarten if you have not yet done so. You need to bring immunization information, birth certificate, proof of residence, and any relevant custodial documents if applicable.

New Students First through Fifth Grade: Families who are new to the area are invited to register their children for school. New students should be registered by Wednesday, September 2nd to start Tuesday, September 8th. However we encourage families to register earlier if possible as the week before school can get hectic. Families with new students can register any time between now and September 2nd. Proof of residency (driver’s license, piece of mail, etc.) is required.

Returning Students: If you did not complete the registration process for your student in June, please make sure you stop by to register your child as soon as possible but no later than September 2nd for them to start the first day of school. Even students who attended our school last year have to register to start school on September 8th.

Remember- Our temporary office is located in the LCC classroom next to the Elmira High School office. Call us at 541-935-8200 ext. 281 if you have questions or need directions. 🙂  Due to meetings, our office will be closed Thursday, August 20th until noon. We are also closing around 2:00 on Friday, August 28th so we can pack up our temporary offices for the move back to Veneta.

The plan is for the school to reopen for teachers and staff on August 31st. Class lists will be posted on Tuesday, September 1st at Veneta. The school office at Veneta will be closed on Tuesday, September 1st until 1:30 for an all staff training.
