As medical costs grow and insurance becomes more difficult to obtain, families may find themselves not able to afford medical care or worse putting off seeing a doctor because they can’t afford it. For those in need of free medical services, Veneta has two options families can turn to.

This Saturday, November 8th is Project Community Connect hosted by Mid Lane Cares at Olivet Baptist Church from 11 AM to 2 PM.  There will be medical doctors available for children and adults. In addition there will be free hair cuts, lunch will be served, child care provided, and activities for children. You do not need to pre-register- just drop in. This is a great opportunity for families who don’t have the resources to see a doctor and they are providing child care so you don’t have to worry about who will watch the kids while you talk to the doctor. No insurance required.

If you can’t make it this Saturday to Project Community Connect, there is another free medical clinic in the Veneta area that families can take advantage of. On the 2nd Saturday of every month there is free medical clinic at the Veneta Fire Station from 12 PM to 3 PM. If you or a family member has any medical conditions or concerns, you are invited to stop by and see one of the physicians and other medical professionals who volunteer their time.
