Scholastic Book Fair- Volunteers Needed

The biggest and best Scholastic Book Fair that Veneta Elementary has ever seen is right around the corner! The Scholastic Book Fair will be open on Thursday, November 20th from 7:30 to 8:00 PM. It will also be open on Friday, November 21st from 7:30 to 5:00 PM, Saturday the 22nd from 9:00 to 5:00 PM, Monday the 24th from 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM and Tuesday the 25th from 8:00 AM to 11:30 PM. The Book Fair will feature books for students of all ages and interests including cookbooks and gift books for adults. There will also be gift items and toys for sale. The Book Fair is an important fundraiser for the school. 40% of what is sold comes back to the school. This means that if you spend $10 at the Book Fair Veneta Elementary receives $4.

This year Scholastic is sending us more merchandise than ever before. It will be the largest Book Fair ever held in this area. Not only will there be tons of books to help motivate your child to read more, but there will be books and gift items for all of the individuals on your holiday shopping list.

We are still seeking volunteers to help with the Book Fair. If you can donate a few hours on any of those days to help out, just contact our PALS volunteer coordinator Kim Houweling. You can leave Kim a message by contacting the school at 541-935-8225.

The Book Fair will be in the Veneta Elementary School library. It will be open during the Holiday Bazaar and during Parent Conferences.
