Hello!

• English-Language Arts Smarter Balanced (ELA/SB) class is designed for those students who did not meet the required scores on their state reading and/or writing assessments.
• Students who did not meet the required test scores may still qualify to graduate if they complete work samples for reading and/or writing
• For writing, students need to pass two written work samples (one needs to be an expository essay)
• For reading, students need to pass two reading work samples
• In ELA/SB class, we will work on teaching the skills necessary for passing the work samples, as well as giving them ample opportunities to take and re-take the work sample assessments.
