Spirit Day

welcome-to-kindergarten-clipart-LTKdRRzAcThank you so much to all of the families that were able to join us for Kindergarten Information Night!

We had 18 families and 22 incoming kindergarten students sign-in.

Your children were amazing and we are looking forward to September already : )

Thank you to Mari our Kindergarten teacher, Denise from KITS, Tammy from PTA and Deborah from the Fern Ridge Family Resource Center for attending.

If you or someone you know were unable to attend or have more questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Please remind your child to check the Lost and Found!

Is your kiddo still missing that one jacket or hoodie? We might have it here at EES!

Spring is especially challenging because students often warm up during the day at recess or PE and will forget and leave jackets outside or on the ground.

All EES staff encourage children to look through the lost and found. It is in the cafeteria where all students visit every single day.

A strategy to help us out is to Sharpie your child’s name on the tag of their sweatshirts and jackets. If we see a name on the jacket, hoodie, hat, lunch box, random shoe, etc,  we make an effort to return it to the student.

All items will be donated to Goodwill over Spring Break.

Communication at EES

OBOB t-shirtOBOB gives students a chance to compete in an academic setting. Students form teams and work together to read and understand 16 books.

The Dominators, Iris Frome, James Stratten, Trevor Pierson, Colton Barklow and Caylee Farrar beat out 8 other tough Elmira Elementary teams for the opportunity to show off their reading ability and skills Saturday at North Eugene High School. They represented Elmira well this past weekend.

The Dominators cruised through pool play, picking up 103 points and tying for 1st seed. They continued to battle until being eliminated in the quarter finals.

We are super proud of the Dominators and all of our OBOB teams at Elmira Elementary.

Elmira Elementary would also like to give a special THANK YOU to 5th grade teacher, Alisa Johnson, for all of her hard work coordinating and organizing OBOB for us!
