Open Enrollment For 2017-2018 School Year!
March 1, 2017 – April 1, 2017
The open enrollment process provides an additional method of school choice for Oregon students which allows them to apply for a permanent admission to a school district. Non-resident students may apply to transfer from their resident district to attend Fern Ridge School District through the open enrollment process.
Interested non-resident students must submit a completed Fern Ridge School District Open Enrollment form to the Fern Ridge School District Office beginning March 1, 2017 and closing on April 1, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.
Accepted applicants will be notified if your request is approved around May 1, 2017. For further information contact the Superintendent’s Office at 541-935-2253 ext. 1203.
March 6th – March 10th, Elmira Elementary will take time to pay special thanks to our amazing Classified employees; they are critical to the operation of every aspect of the Fern Ridge School District.
Our Classified employees work directly with kids, parents, other educators, volunteers and community members, and are critical to the success of Elmira students.
They assist classroom teachers, serve up healthy meals, provide safe transportation, clean and maintain our facilities, manage offices, and perform many other vital tasks every day for the benefit of Fern Ridge children.
Just as classified employees are on the front lines working to ensure the safety and care of students at school, many are working to build better neighborhoods and communities as well. Whether they’re assisting with local charities or volunteering in youth sports programs, classified employees serve their communities with the same pride that they serve our students and schools.
Please take a few moments to thank the support staff—bus drivers, office staff, cafeteria workers, playground aides, classroom assistants, and so on—who work tirelessly each day to ensure that students have what they need to be successful! We appreciate you and offer you our sincerest thanks!

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the FRSD Elementary Enrollment Balancing Committee Presentation last night here at Elmira Elementary.
The concern for doing what is best for all FRSD students is at the forefront of every conversation. Thank you to all of our families who have emailed, attended, or supported the efforts in problem-solving.
