Weather Closures/Delays

Guidelines for Closures/Delays

  • Although not always possible, we try to make decisions regarding an on-time start by 6:30am.
  • ParentSquare is the best and fastest way to receive messages regarding any delays or school closures.
  • Phone dialer messages will go out anytime we have a delay or school closure.
  • All closures and delays are posted in Flash Alert, which gets shared with news media (TV and Radio). Link below.  
  • Sometimes, buses need to run on limited routes. Snow Routes are on the transportation page. Link below. 
  • If we have a 2-hour delay on a Wednesday (early relase days), there will be NO early release that day. 
  • We typically will not announce that there IS school.  No news = school is open and on time.

Please keep in mind: our community varies widely in elevation and terrain.  While school may be in session, some of our families that live at higher elevations may need to delay coming to school, or not come at all.  If your student cannot make it to school safely – simply call the front office and let us know.
