Volunteers in FRSD

There are many opportunities for parents/grandparents/community patrons to volunteer in the Fern Ridge schools.  They include but are not limited to:  Site Council, Field Trips, PTA, Fundraising Events, Booster Club, and Classroom Support.

The form needs to be submitted to the school where you would like to volunteer (only one form needs to be filled out if you have students in multiple schools.)  Upon approval, your name will be added to the Approved Volunteer Listing.  Volunteer approval is good through the current school year.  A new form needs to be completed at the beginning of each new school year.

 

Follow these directions to become a volunteer in FRSD!

  1. complete the criminal background check form – submit to school office
  2. complete the Safe Schools training (see below) – submit certificate to school office
  3. once your application has been cleared, you can arrange volunteer opportunitites directly with the buildin

 

Safe Schools Training for Volunteers/Parents/Contractors. The SafeSchools training was updated after the passing of Senate Bill 155, and is available for all. Follow the instructions below to view the training.

  • Go to the training site
  • Click the Register button
  • Enter the code (codes are below for contractor, volunteer and parent)
  • Create username and enter your name
  • Click location and select your members entity name
  • Start the training and complete at your convenience
  • Once you have successfully finished the training, a record of the class will be provided to print.
