FRMS - Bridge Building

Posted Date: 12/17/25 (05:30 PM)

FRMS’s 8th grade STEM Challenge class is currently building weight bearing bridges made entirely of popsicle sticks. This is a great project for students because it has them turn abstract engineering concepts like tension, compression, and weight distribution into something tangible. Prior to building, they completed a proposal packet that had them also consider aesthetics, functionality, and supply constraints. Here, at FRMS, we are excited to be teaching the next generation of thinkers, builders, and problem-solvers. Thank you Ms. Fuentez!
