EHS- Food & Nutrition - Culinary Students Wrap Up Tamale Project
So proud of our EHS high school food and nutrition students! 🌟 They just finished their tamale project, a four-day experience that showcased rigor, real-world relevance, and strong relationships built through teamwork. Students learned to make a guajillo chile sauce from dried chiles, soaked corn husks for wrappers, prepared shredded pork, and created tamale masa harina from scratch. Today, they filled and steamed their tamales in class—and had a blast doing it! Hands-on learning like this connects skills, culture, and community in the best way. 👩🍳👨🍳🌽 Thank you Ms. Raph for going above and beyond to make this happen for our EHS students!
