REQUIRED ANNUAL NOTIFICATION: WEAPONS IN SCHOOLS
The superintendent is charged with ensuring policy GBJ is provided annually to staff, contractors and volunteers. A direct link to the policy can be found here: Policy GBJ.
The policy states that: “Employees, district contractors and/or their employees and district volunteers shall not possess a dangerous or deadly weapon or firearm on district property or at school-sponsored events. This prohibition includes employees, district contractors and/or their employees and district volunteers who may otherwise be permitted by law to carry such weapons.”
