FRSD Community,
We are aware of concerns circulating in our community, including recent public reporting regarding a teacher at Elmira High School.  We are putting out this update to provide clear and accurate information about what we can share at this time and to outline the steps the district is taking in response.  The safety and well-being of students and staff is our highest responsibility in our school district.

Although we cannot discuss specific personnel issues, we strictly adhere to detailed policies that apply to all staff in the interest of student safety and well-being.  
Following an initial review, late last week the district retained a 3rd party investigator to confirm we are following our policies and all applicable laws.  This independent review will help ensure a complete and accurate understanding of the situation and inform the district of appropriate next steps.

The district will continue to provide updates as appropriate and permitted by law through ParentSquare and our website.  We ask for your partnership in maintaining a respectful and focused school environment by avoiding speculation or the spread of unverified information while the investigation is ongoing.
