FRMS Thinks Pink: Student Leadership Turns School Spirit into Support
FRMS was "in the pink" on Wednesday, October 7th as our students helped raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. Student leadership planned a "Wear Pink" Spirit Day and FRMS staff took it to the next level by challenging our student body- if more than 50% of our students wore pink, each staff member would contribute to a donation to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Awareness. FRMS students not only met the challenge- they hit it out of the park with over 70% of FRMS students wearing pink. It was a great Spirit Day and students had fun pitching in for a great cause.
This student-led effort brought Relationships, Rigor, and Relevance to life by uniting our school community, challenging students to lead and exceed a shared goal, and connecting their actions to a meaningful cause beyond the classroom.
